Unruly moment, manufactured outrage

GOP Rep. Joe Wilson apologized for his outburst last night when he called out one of President Obama’s many lies.

I’ve never seen Nancy Pelosi’s face show so much emotion in my adult lifetime.

The Left is in high dudgeon — never letting a moment of manufactured outrage go to waste.

Sure, members of Congress should leave the heckling to town hall protesters.

But it was Obama who said himself in the speech: “If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out.”

That’s what Joe Wilson was doing, wasn’t it?

And that’s what Democrats would undoubtedly tell you they were doing during George W. Bush’s 2005 State of the Union Speech when they booed and shouted down his remarks about the need for Social Security reform. Omri Ceren remembers:

Allahpundit, via Twitter: “Joe Wilson’s big mistake: Not saving the ‘liar’ catcall for when The One was pushing his moronic ‘deficit-neutral’ mega-lie.”

More hard-hitting news about Michelle Obama

Yes, it’s time for another hard-hitting Michelle Obama media moment.

Nope, no one decided to shed light last night on Michelle Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Susan Sher, and David Axelrod’s role in creating a patient-dumping scheme
at the University of Chicago Medical Center
— and what it might portend under Obamacare.

But the Huffington Post did enlighten readers about Mrs. Obama’s important decision to wear a “pink full-sleeve skirt suit.”

All the fashion slavering fit to print.
