Turns out it wasn’t just a one-off flub. President Obama mispronounced “corpseman” before last week’s gaffe-a-thon….on October 26, 2009 during a speech to graduates of the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
Reader Chris P. sends the video and e-mails: “Doesn’t Obama have any military advisors, Democrat Senators or anyone who saw the speech and heard him say ‘corpse-man?’ The mispronunciation is stark and grating to me as a former soldier. Why didn’t anyone correct their boss? If they don’t feel empowered to speak up on something so minor what about bigger matters?”
